PANCHACHULI PEAKS
The Panchachuli Mountains are a glacier range in the northern Kumaon region of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Actually this peak is a group of five mountain peaks. On getting old, he left for the Himalayas for ascension. It is believed that while wandering in the Himalayas, he cooked his last meal on this mountain. At its five highest points, the five Pandavas had made five chulhis i.e. small stoves hence this place was called Panchachuli.

The Panchachuli Peaks are a group of five snow-capped Himalayan peaks located in the Kumaon Region, near Munsiyari in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. From Dharchula, you’ll have to travel to Dar Village which serve as the starting point for the trek to Panchachuli Peaks. It is approximately 42 km from Dharchula, and taxis or shared vehicles are available for this journey.
If you are traveling by road from Delhi, the distance to Panchachuli Peaks is approximately 661 km. Buses and taxis are available from ISBT Anand Vihar to Tanakpur and Almora. From Tanakpur or Almora, you can hire a local cab to reach Dharchula, which is the nearest major town to Panchachuli Peaks.
If you prefer to travel by air, the nearest airport to Panchachuli Peaks is Pantnagar Airport, which is located approximately 402 km away. From Pantnagar Airport, you can hire taxis that will take you directly to the base of Panchachuli Peaks.
If you prefer to travel by train, Tanakpur is the nearest railway station to Panchachuli Peaks, situated approximately 307 km away.
